Katherine is a moderator and freelance researcher specialized in healthcare research. She is experienced interviewing multiple respondent types from young patients to key opinion leaders and everything in-between. She is meticulous in getting detail and rationale from respondents whilst maintaining an inquisitive and conversational tone.

Katherine’s versatility as a moderator comes from her varied background in which she gained experience conversing with all kinds of people. Her high school jobs in a soccer equipment store garnered her experience with people from non-English speaking recreational soccer players and frazzled soccer moms, then after moving to LA to attend the University of Southern California Katherine sold furniture and home decor items at a store in Beverly Hills, selling to people from all walks of life. She even gained experience interviewing professional athletes while working for the local CBS affiliate in the sports division conducting post-game interviews for the evening news. No matter the respondent type, Katherine can adapt a unique communication style that will help yield the most relevant information possible.

Moving to London in 2006 she obtained her master’s degree from the London School of Economics. Her dissertation on the role of gender in TV medical dramas sparked an interest in medicine and lead her to start a career in healthcare market research. She worked for one of the leading international qualitative market research agencies in the UK for almost 3 years; moderating IDIs and Groups across the UK and project managing international research projects from start to finish.

In 2010 Katherine moved back to the United States and began working as an independent consultant and moderator for a range of international and domestic clients.
